Louis Fourie game auctions started in 1989 in Thabazimbi, and the company has the distinction of
auctioning the first disease-free buffalo in South Africa.
The company built its own pens in 1996, and prides itself on having
some of the best game holding facilities in the country. These
facilities are used to hold several game auctions through the year -
see NEWS for dates.
The company goes the extra mile at the auctions. It conducts pregnancy
tests on valuable species, and spares no expense in ensuring that
buyers receive healthy, fit animals to stock their ranches.
The auctions are a highlight for the company - each auction is attended
by 400 to 600 buyers and interested parties. Videos of the animals are
shown to the buyers in order to minimize disturbance at the pens.
Take a
walk through our pens. We look forward to seeing you at our next
auction. Contact us if you have any queries regarding our auctions or
our facilities - we would be happy to assist.
